Just three months before the Olympic Games in Tokyo, the Czech official jumping team will have a chance to compete on courses designed by Olympic course designer. Spanish designer Santiago Varela Ullastres – who has been appointed course designer for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo – accepted an invitation to the international CSIO3* Prague Cup that will take place in the Chuchle Arena Prague in May.
Great news for all show jumping fans – after the success of the inaugural C-E-T Prague Cup in 2020, the Czech Equestrian Team are set to host this international outdoor event in the upcoming 2021 season. The FEI today officially confirmed the date of this year’s show for 5th-9th May 2021.
The CSIO3* Prague Cup organizer prepares, during this international show jumping event, held in Chuchle Arena Prague from August 20 till August 23, interview with riders and other personalities, who are inseparably connected with this sport show. Gudrun Patteet with Sea Coast Kashmira Z won a thrilling J&T Banka Trophy, the Grand Prix at Chuchle Arena Praha. The Belgian was clear in both rounds and produced the fastest times to beat Maurice Tebbel from Germany and Jur Vrieling from the Netherlands.
Switzerland has only a small team at the CSIO3* Prague Cup, but with Pius Schwizer being the most succesfull rider of the meeting it celebrated a hattrick. Schwizer took the BMW Cartec Trophy on Cortney Cox ahead of Italian Emilio Bicocchi and Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski from Poland.
Egyptian Mohamed Talaat became the first winner on the final day in Prague. On Tabea 20 he won the Silver Tour competition Johnny Servis Trophy and denied a local win by Emma Augier De Moussac. Third place went to the German Andre Thieme.
Irishman Michael Duffy on Zilton SI Z won the Chuchle Arena Praha Trophy on Saturday. In the 1,50 m contest with jump off he was four hundredths faster than Bruce Goodin from New Zealand. Pius Schwizer from Switzerland secured the third place.
The Swiss champion Pius Swizer on the gelding Grand Cooper completed his second win at the CSIO3* Prague Cup. On Saturday he was the fastest rider in the Seznam.cz Trophy. The second and third place goes to Slovakia thanks to Andrej Hollý and Michal Žák.
Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski on Quick Step secured a Polish win in the Taittinger Trophy with Jump Off on Saturday morning. Irishman Bertram Allen collected his fourth second place during the CSIO3* Prague Cup, followed by his team-mates Mark Mcauley and Anthony Condon.
