Sunday's Grand Prix at the CSIO3* CET Prague Cup 2021 brought an exciting climax to the international competitions at the Chuchle Arena Prague. The Irish rider David Simpson coped best with the challenging course set by Olympic designer Santiago Varela Ullastres and won with the gelding Foudre F.
Santiago Varela Ullastres really tested the starting field in the final event of the CSIO3* CET Prague Cup 2021, giving them a challenging two-round test. Twelfe riders managed to be clear after the first round and only two stayed without any mistake on the end.
The Irishman Simpson decided about his win with the better time of 51.75 seconds, beating the German rider Philip Houston. Japan's Koko Saito ended up third.
Vladimír Tretera with his stallion Gangster V/H Noddevelt was the first to finish the first round without penalty points. After one mistake in the second round and one penalty point for time overrun, the reigning Czech champion took twelfth place in the strong competition. Ondřej Zvára on Quimero M also advanced to the second round and finished eighth. "It was very technical and you had to concentrate from the first to the last jump," he said.
